Advanced SystemCare

Pros:

Lots of Tools: IOBit's everything-but-the-kitchen-sink approach to Advanced SystemCare means you're bound to find something useful for your machine in its massive library of tools, tweakers, and cleaners.
One-Click Fix: Despite its daunting list of options, users shouldn't have trouble finding some kind of fix-all option. When in doubt, most users will probably opt for just that.

Cons:

Lackluster Redesign: Claims of a Metro-friendly redesign amount to nothing more than color changes, font tweaks to a thinner sans-serif type, and icon packs. Many tools are shortcuts to separate applications that are visually inconsistent and offer questionable value over default tools.
Tedious Uninstallation: Advanced SystemCare's setup is like a collection of shortcuts to other downloads. SystemCare's toolbox behaves more like a glorified stub installer for IOBit's other products than a true all-in-one program. Even after uninstalling SystemCare, you're forced to uninstall each individual app separately.

Final Verdict:

At first glance, Advanced SystemCare has everything you would think you'd ever need to keep a PC in tip-top shape: uninstallers, driver updaters, and so on. However, not all are better alternatives than their stock counterparts. For example, the Windows 8 Process Explorer is a much more usable solution.
Advanced SystemCare's user experience is a mixed bag. We didn't have any trouble opting for a one-click-fix solution for many of our computer "issues," but we took that option because of information overload.
If you have absolutely no security or tweaking tools, then it might be worth taking a look at Advanced SystemCare. The uninstallation process is tedious and inefficient, because the product treats each feature as a separate app. For defrag tools, malware protection, and even process explorers, we recommend downloading separate alternatives that offer a more focused but higher-quality approach to their respective tasks.

Advanced SystemCare Free is a comprehensive PC care utility that takes one-click approach to help protect, repair and optimize your computer. GPU Meter

GPU Meter displays information on your graphics card, from usage to temperature, as well as clock speed and other useful stats. It installs as a Windows gadget and sits on your desktop. If you want an easy way to see GPU information at a glance, GPU Meter fits the bill.
The gadget installs in seconds and places a very small window in the upper-right corner of your desktop, which you can move anywhere. Initially, GPU Meter's window was too small for us to view, but a tabbed Options menu is easily accessible from a right sidebar menu and you can enlarge the window in the Display tab, which also lets you choose Celsius or Fahrenheit for the temperature display and turn on or off specific stats for PCB Temp, Shader Clock, and more. On the main Options tab, you can set an alert for GPU temperature and opt to play a sound if the temperature goes above a user-defined temperature. The desktop gadget has a black background with each line of information in a different, vibrant color, but you can change this in the Color tab of the Option window, as well. We liked that you could choose a color code or choose from one of seven basic colors by name.
If you're interested in seeing GPU stats at a glance, GPU Meter is a great gadget to download. It's ready to go as soon as you install it, but also allows you some flexibility in what it displays and how it looks. There is a small request at the bottom of the Options window to make a donation, but it never gets in the way and you won't find any other ads, pop-ups, or banners in this free tool.

With this GPU Meter Gadget you can display your graphic card vendor, graphic card model, GPU clock speed, GPU temperature, total of GPU usage by percentage and bar, memory clock speed, total of memory usage by percentage and bar, fan speed by rpm, fan usage percentage and bar, Shader Clock Speed, PCB Temperature and Memory Controller. For the graph it can display all usage by drawing style in line or filled. For the setting you can change the gadget size up to 400%, temperature can be show in either Celsius or Fahrenheit , color adjustable for background and text and able set auto update notifier.

EzSnap

EzSnap does make it easy to grab screenshots of anything visible on your desktop, but it doesn't store them locally. Instead, you'll just get a URL that takes you to the publisher's Web site to view them. And the editing tools it promises were nowhere to be found.
When you first launch the program, you'll be asked to create an account that allows you to view image history and stats online, and while this step isn't required to use the program, it's probably best if you want to easily access and view your screenshots. This is because EzSnap doesn't save your screenshots to your hard drive, it saves them on its site, and if you don't sign up, you'll have to save the link it automatically creates if you want to view your screenshots in the future. With an account, you can go directly to your History to see your screenshots. The program sits in the System Tray and you just hit Ctrl + 1 to bring up a tool that you can use to capture any section of your screen. It works fine, but instead of displaying your screenshot afterward, you just get a message that it's been uploaded and the link has been copied to the clipboard. If you hit Ctrl + 2, you can drag existing images to a small onscreen box; these will be saved online, as well, and you'll also get a link you can paste where you like. Ctrl + 3 lets you take a Webcam pic and also upload it, automatically. While the program description mentions a photo editor, we couldn't find it on our computer or on EzSnap's Web site.
EzSnap is still in beta, which may explain the missing photo editor, but even if it had the editor, we still weren't impressed with the program's approach to saving screenshots. EzSnap is offered for free, though, and its screenshot tools are very easy to use if you're OK with not having access to the images directly on your PC.

EzSnap is a quick and pain free screenshot tool. But yet it does more. Has options for quick uploading, to upload and copied the url to your clipboard instantly ready to be pasted in to any im client, social site, email or anywhere else. EzSnap also includes a photo editor, to draw arrows, write text, blank out certain information, and so much more. EzSnap also has a quick photo uploader using another shortcut, or take a quick webcam shot of yourself for simple, and hassle free webcam sharing! It's simple, and so easy to use. You won't know how you went without it. It sits in the background just waiting for you to use it. With the advanced editor, you can go from screenshot, to facebook in literally under 5 seconds. It doesn't get any easier!

PhotoPad Image Editor

PhotoPad Image Editor doesn't have the depth of features found in pro image editors, but it does have all the basic editing tools and lets you apply some neat effects without any specialized knowledge. If you don't want to get past a steep learning curve in order to edit your images, this is a very solid download.
The program installs very quickly, but in the last step you will be prompted to download Google Chrome and set it as your default browser, so uncheck the box if you don't want this extra. PhotoPad Image Editor's plain interface has a large editing window under a File menu with all the options easily accessible, including Edit, Color, Effects, Tools, and Suite. A toolbar displays options that change with each menu option, so it's never cluttered or hard to find what you're looking for. Once you choose an icon, you can apply the effects and tweaks in a sidebar menu that also shows your history of changes, which was a very nice touch. The editing tools are basic and allow you to crop, flip, or resize the image. Under Color, you can adjust the brightness and contrast, and instantly apply a sepia or grayscale effect. The Effects let you blur or sharpen the image, but also include options to quickly pixelate your image or make it look like an oil painting. The Tools section is where you can add text, or draw on the image freeform, and turn your image into a collage, mosaic, or panorama. Finally, the Suite tools let you upload your image to Facebook or Flickr or send it through e-mail. We liked that most options are easily set with a slider and you can instantly see how it changes your image, and just as importantly, easily undo any changes you've made.
PhotoPad Image Editor's slider approach might not give you the control you'd want if you were an image editing pro, but for the casual photographer, it's a great way to tweak your image and apply some very polished effects. It's so easy to use that most won't even need to crack open the Help file to use it. Best of all, it's free, so you've got nothing to lose by trying the program out.

PhotoPad image editing software is a photo editor for Windows. It allows you to edit and apply effects to photos and other images. When editing photos you can crop, rotate and resize and, if required, add effects like sepia tones, red eye reduction as well as the ability to change the hue, saturation and brightness levels plus more.
Additional features include: Crop, rotate and flip photos and images. Load gif, jpg, psd, png, bmp picture formats and more. Edit hue, saturation, brightness and contrast. Apply effects such as sepia tones, greyscale, red eye reduction and more. Preview effects before applying. Easy deletion of each applied effect without removing other applied effects. PhotoPad can be added to your right click menu for easy access.
What's new in this version: General updates and bug fixes.

eM Client

eM Client manages multiple e-mail accounts well, but its free version is limited by how many accounts it can support. It makes up for it with abundant style, a relatively easy setup, and great features, though.
This program behaves like a typical e-mail manager, akin to Outlook or Thunderbird. In addition to letting you manage multiple e-mail accounts, eM Client will organize your calendar, meetings, contacts, and more for you so you don't have to think about it. You can get right to work with this client by inserting your e-mail and letting it slowly populate all of the rest of the information it needs. It has a widget for most of the popular e-mail providers and even lets you import from other clients like Outlook. It usually works without a hitch, but it may give you some difficultly if you have two-step verification on the account you're trying to set up. The program only accepts two accounts if you use the free version, so you'll need to upgrade to Pro if you want unlimited accounts. Either way, the program sports a gorgeous layout that supports color-coding and multiple themes. There's even a built-in chat that supports ICQ, Jabber, Yahoo, and most of the other popular IM clients.
eM Client is so loaded with features that it's easy to forget it only supports two accounts. While this could be a burden for some, others won't have a problem. If you're happy with that limitation, this program rewards you with a stylish layout and plenty of control over your accounts

Convert YouTube To MP3

Convert YouTube to MP3 applies to the developer, this freeware, and its function; namely, to convert audio tracks from YouTube videos into MP3s you can play anywhere. It can process batches and save files in several high-quality formats like AAC and Ogg Vorbis. It's easy to use, but it proved a little clunky, too, and its installer includes a few too many "extras." Although you can decline them, these optional downloads might trigger your security software, as happened with ours.
After several attempts, we were able to install Convert YouTube to MP3. The program's user interface is very plain but not unattractive. Its main tab, Downloads, has fields for entering YouTube URLs and selecting a destination folder, and we could select Preferred Quality: MP3, ranging from 22kHz/64kbs (just awful) to 44kHz/192kbs (much better); or Video, with settings optimized for playback on video gear (or Best Available). We pasted a target and pressed "Start." The program quickly converted the 2:37 cartoon's soundtrack to an MP3, but it froze when we tried to return from the Progress tab to the Download tab. In the end, we had to close it via the Task Manager. We tried again with a different video and got better performance, but the program balked at opening the destination folder, which wasn't the one we'd set before. However, once again it converted the file.
Although Convert YouTube to MP3 performed adequately at it main task, its bugginess suggests you try one of the many other tools that grab and convert audio from YouTube, which is full of free music, sometimes unavailable anywhere else.

Adblock Plus for Internet Explorer

AdBlock Plus for Internet Explorer blocks annoying banner, pop-up, and video ads from appearing on the Web sites you visit. It blocks everything automatically, but it's easy to unblock sites. AdBlock Plus does more than block annoying ads. It also disables tracking, malware domains, and social media buttons, if you tell it to. Acceptable Ads appear on ad-supported sites that follow AdBlock Plus community guidelines, helping to keep both those sites and this free, open-source browser extension that way (i.e. free). We tried AdBlock Plus for Internet Explorer in IE 11.
Installing AdBlock Plus in IE 11 required a system reboot. The add-on works automatically. We looked for but couldn't see the familiar ABP browser button until we enabled IE's Status Bar (under Tools/Toolbars), which isn't displayed by default. After that, we could click the ABP icon to access the add-on's options, manage blocking, and more. Some of the extra features dialogs didn't display in IE 11, but it's easy to report issues and bugs, and the AdBlock Plus community responds quickly.
For the most part, the brand-spanking-new AdBlock Plus for Internet Explorer worked as well as in other browsers, and much better than anything else like it, free or not. We clicked some tiles to open ad-laden sites we'd visited in our previous session. Some blocked ads showed placeholders, but AdBlock Plus closed up most spaces for a much tidier look. We also visited sites participating in the Acceptable Ads initiative, and we're totally in sync with both the spirit and the results. All IE users should try AdBlock Plus for Internet Explorer.

Eusing Launcher

The free Eusing Launcher frees your desktop by organizing icons in a unique, circular layout that appears and vanishes with hot keys. Icons get lost in the crowd in conventional Windows desktops, but Eusing Launcher's customizable circle not only makes it easier to remember where icons were when you last used them but also easier to find when you forget. Eusing Launcher 2.6t is freeware, though a pop-up solicits donations by offering registration.
Eusing Launcher's installer finished by opening a Help page in our browser and placing desktop and system tray icons. The setup view displays the default circle with placeholder icons. A Getting Started wizard walked us through each step, including the hot key combos that hide and show Eusing Launcher, switching between the Windows and Eusing Launcher desktops, minimizing the app, and other important commands. No worries; you can turn off the wizard when you're familiar with the hot keys. The next step is to add stuff. That's easy, too: Drag the file or folder, activate Eusing Launcher's hot key, and drag the icon into position, either in an available slot or in the appropriate group, such as Web sites or System Folders. Once we've linked our items, we could display the circle by clicking Eusing Launcher's large central start button or by hot keys. Right-clicking the start button accesses a main menu with many options, including Settings for changing icon size, spacing, and appearance.
Most Windows desktop enhancements take some getting used to, but Eusing Launcher quickly proved a viable alternative to the old Windows gridiron. Its quick toggle action and circular layout somehow manage to reconcile two desktop objectives that too often are in conflict: quick access and attractive presentation.

If you are a Windows user and have a lot of icons placed on the desktop, it may be really difficult to find a certain icon and manage all of them. There is a better way of organizing all your icons on the desktop, using a powerful launcher. Eusing Launcher practically organizes all the desktop icons in the shape of a circle, allowing you to easily and quickly find any desired icon. It includes some predefined icons added to its interface, but the user can add virtually any program shortcut to it. You can access any program or Windows feature in the shortest time possible and with great ease. It also allows quick access to your Windows system directories and Windows accessories. Drag-and-drop operations are supported for adding the shortcut or program. You can select the maximum number of icons that should be displayed. Besides that, the opacity level and size of the icon circle can be customized. Furthermore, the program's settings and the list of icons can be backed up as a file, for reusing it later on. No matter how many windows are open, you can use the hot key to bring Eusing Launcher to the top. With Eusing Launcher on your system you can easily organize all your icons and set them up in any way you want, and arrange them according to your wishes and needs. This way you will always have a reliable application that will enable you to organize your work space.
What's new in this version: Version 2.6 includes bug fixes and stability improvements.

Advanced Scan to PDF Free

Advanced Scan to PDF Free creates high-quality PDFs from your scanner, camera, files, and other sources and saves them or sends them. It's designed as an easy means of sending digitally signed paper documents over the Internet using the PDF format, which is practically universal to business. But it's a good choice for anyone since it's easy to use, handles a wide range of image and document formats, works with most scanners and cameras, and creates accurate facsimiles of source material.
Advanced Scan to PDF Free's layout and ribbon toolbar take styling cues from Microsoft's Office suite, but the dark theme gives a unique look. The ribbon's tabs access PDF Preview, Scan to PDF/JPG to PDF, Tools, and Help (including a video tour). Under Tools, we could set and remove passwords, apply digital signatures, and view security information. PDF Preview is a full-featured tool for printing, zooming, rotating, and saving PDFs. The default tab -- Scan to PDF -- imports, scans, saves, and sends PDFs. It recognized and worked well with our scanner (and multiple drivers). We also imported images from our files.
Advanced Scan to PDF Free's large previews and toolbar-based size and compression settings made it easy to create and save high-quality documents from every source we tried. This tool is fast -- practically instantaneous with single documents and small batches. Clicking "Send PDF" attached the image to an e-mail message ready to address and send. Finished PDFs looked great in our usual viewer. Advanced Scan to PDF Free is attractive, easy to use, and produces top-quality results. It can serve businesses and individuals, and the cost is the same: free.

Cute Video Audio Merger

Cute Video Audio Merger adds new soundtracks to your videos by merging video and audio recordings, including HD files, into a single file in a variety of output formats. It can add sound to silent video or replace existing soundtracks with your audio files, such as music and narration. Basic operation and settings limit your ability to customize the videos Cute Video Audio Merger produces, but it's great for quick jobs like greeting cards, instructional videos, and Internet memes, and it lets you share your creations quickly, too. Cute Audio Video Merger is freeware for Windows NT/98 to 8.
Like many such programs, this app's plain but businesslike user interface looks like a beefed-up system dialog, though Cute Video Audio Merger's layout stands out starting with output folder and file options instead of the typical Add Files feature. It makes sense since the typical job involves adding multiple audio files to single or multiple videos; thus Cute Video Audio Merger's Add Video field is narrow and the Add Audio field is an expanded list view. Video output options include FLV, MP4, iPod, OGG, and many others. We set out output options, browsed to an HD video, and then selected some MP3s as a soundtrack. Pressing "Merge" finished the job. Our new video (or, more precisely, old video with new soundtrack) played well in our media player. Of course, quality is a hit-or-miss affair, but a little experimenting could yield pretty good results.
Cute Audio Video Merger didn't always run smoothly in our 64-bit system, and the "Help" button apparently does nothing, though the program's Web site has some information and support links. But for fast and free video/audio merging, our complaints about Cute Video Audio Merger are minor.
